Florida Mortgage Rates – Midday Report

by Florida's #1 Mortgage Planner on January 9, 2009

Locking Stance: LOCKING    Mortgage Bonds: 0bp

Mortgage bonds have been down somewhat today and back to even on the day, despite the news surrounding the jobs data.  Boston Federal Reserve Bank President Eric Rosengren stated that the recession will deepen in the first half of the year during a speech late yesterday and that news is helping mortgage bonds somewhat.  Beyond that, the only other assistance mortgage backed securities are getting this morning is that stocks are again down today.

What does this mean for Florida Mortgage Rates?  Mortgage rates appear to be holding steady today, though slightly worse pricing may yet be seen based on trading thus far.
