Florida Mortgage Rates – Midday Report

Locking Stance: CAUTIOUSLY FLOATING    Mortgage Bonds: +38bp

Mortgage bonds continue to have a good day today, although they did hiccup and scare many mortgage professionals into rushing and locking loans, even the mortgage gurus.  As I have mentioned, why rush when you have the Retail Sales report tomorrow and the charts are looking fairly good?

One thing that is certain is that the dollar is back to losing ground against most currencies, and that is causing oil to climb again.  I knew it wouldn’t be too long before this happened due to the government’s actions, but more about that in a post coming up tomorrow or Saturday over at Florida Mortgage Report.

What does this all mean for Florida Mortgage Rates?  Mortgage rates are holding steady, possibly ticking higher slightly during the “hiccup”.  Overall, it still appears that mortgage rates could break through and move lower still.
